Privacy Policy

Last reviewed: September 22, 2026 · This page describes what actually happens on zatorskarealestate.com today, and how that will work once analytics is turned on. It will need a fresh read whenever a new data-collecting feature is added.

Who we are

This website is operated by Joanna Zatorska, REALTOR®, HomeSmart Connect LLC, Illinois License 475.148526. If you have any question about this policy or about your information, contact Joanna directly by phone or text at 773-501-3395.

Information you give us directly

When you use a form on this site — “Schedule Showing,” “Ask Joanna,” “Get Similar Homes,” “Request a Home Search,” “Get My Home Value,” or “See Investment Options” — we collect exactly what you type into it: your name, email and/or phone number, any message you add, and which property or search criteria the request relates to. This information is:

  • emailed directly to Joanna so she can respond to you personally, and
  • stored as a private record on this website (not visible to other visitors), so she can follow up and keep track of client requests.

We do not sell this information, and we do not share it with anyone outside HomeSmart Connect except the email-delivery service described below.

Information about property listings you view

When you view a property page, the details you see (price, address, beds/baths, photos) come from Joanna’s own listing records — nothing about your visit to that page is collected unless you submit one of the forms above, or (only once enabled — see “Analytics,” below) through anonymous, aggregate analytics.

Phone and text links

Buttons and links that say “Call” or “Text” open your own phone’s calling or messaging app using standard tel: and sms: links. Clicking one does not send any information to this website — your phone handles the call or text directly, the same as if you had dialed the number yourself. (Once analytics is enabled — see below — clicking one of these links may also record a single, anonymous event noting that a phone or text link was clicked on a given page; it never records your phone number, the call itself, or its content.)

Cookies and similar technology

As of today, this site sets no tracking cookies at all. The only cookie that exists anywhere on this site is WordPress’s own sign-in cookie — created only if you log into the Agent Dashboard (Joanna’s own listing-management tool), used only to keep that session signed in, and never present for an ordinary visitor.

Your choice on this site’s cookie banner (Accept or Reject) is saved a different way: in your browser’s own local storage (a standard browser feature, not a cookie), under the name zre_consent_v1. It stores only your Accept/Reject choice and the time you made it — nothing else — is never sent to this site’s server or to Google, and exists regardless of which choice you make, because it’s what lets us honor your choice and not ask again. It is not itself used for tracking or advertising, and is never shared with any third party.

We do not currently use any advertising cookies, and we run no advertising or retargeting of any kind.

Google tools: what’s already in use today, and what isn’t yet

We use Google’s tools in two separate ways, and it matters which is which:

(A) Already in use today — Joanna’s own account, not your browser. Joanna uses Google Search Console and the Google Analytics 4 reporting API to see aggregate statistics about how this site performs in Google Search (for example, which pages appear in search results and roughly how often). This connection is server-to-server: it runs between this website’s own server and Google, using Joanna’s own Google account credentials, entirely separate from your browser. It does not place anything on your device, does not use a cookie or local storage, is not affected by the cookie banner’s Accept/Reject choice, and does not collect your name, email, phone number, or anything you typed into a form. It only reads back aggregate, site-wide statistics Google already computes from ordinary public search activity.

(B) Not active yet — the public Google Analytics 4 (GA4) tag described below. This is a separate thing: a tag that would run in your browser, only after you’ve been asked for consent and only if you Accept. It remains off today regardless of your choice; turning it on in the future is a separate, deliberate step described in the section immediately below.

Analytics — Google Analytics 4 (your browser, not yet active)

Google Analytics is not active on this site yet. This section describes how it will work once it is turned on, so this policy stays accurate before and after that happens.

When (and only when) Google Analytics is enabled:

  • It will run only after you have been asked for consent via this site’s cookie banner, and only if you choose Accept. If you choose Reject, or make no choice, Google Analytics will not collect or store any identifying analytics information about your visit.
  • Google LLC is the analytics provider. Google’s own privacy practices for this service are described at policies.google.com/privacy.
  • What may be collected, only after consent: pages you viewed, general technical information (browser type, device type, an approximate region derived from your network connection — never your exact location or IP address, which Google Analytics is configured to anonymize for this site), how you arrived at the site (e.g., search engine or a link), and a small set of specific actions — for example, that a “Search homes” button was clicked, that a showing request was submitted, or that a property page was viewed. We do not send Google your name, email address, phone number, or the content of anything you typed into a form — those go only to Joanna, through the process described above.
  • Analytics data, when active, is used only to understand which pages and towns are useful to visitors and to improve the site — never to identify a specific person, and never sold or shared for advertising.

You can change your mind at any time. A “Privacy & cookie settings” link, always available in this site’s footer, reopens the same Accept/Reject choice and updates it immediately.

Fonts

This site loads typefaces from Google Fonts. Google may see the fact that a font file was requested (a normal part of how web fonts work) but this is not linked to any Google Analytics or advertising activity, and no personal information is transmitted as part of that request beyond what any web request includes (e.g., your IP address, to know where to send the font file, which Google does not retain in a way linked to you for this purpose).

Email delivery

Emails this site sends on Joanna’s behalf (a lead notification, or a password-reset link for the Agent Dashboard) are delivered through Brevo, an email-sending service. Brevo receives only the one email being sent — it is not used to build a marketing list, and you will not receive marketing email from Brevo as a result of submitting a form here.

How long we keep your information

This site does not run an automated deletion schedule. In practice, lead and inquiry records are kept for as long as they’re useful for Joanna’s business and client relationships — typically for the life of that client relationship plus a reasonable follow-up period — and are deleted or anonymized sooner on your request (see “Your choices and rights,” below).

Your choices and rights

  • You can decline to submit any form on this site — nothing is required to browse listings or read the area guides.
  • You can accept or reject analytics cookies at any time via the cookie banner or the “Privacy & cookie settings” footer link.
  • You can ask Joanna, by phone, text, or email, to tell you what information we have about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and we will respond promptly — regardless of where you’re contacting us from.

This site is operated by a single Illinois real-estate practice for buyers, sellers, and investors in the Chicago area; it does not knowingly target or collect information from residents of the European Economic Area, the UK, or Switzerland, and does not sell personal information as that term is defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act.

Our hosting provider

This site’s files and database (including the record of your form submissions) are stored and processed on servers operated by our third-party web-hosting provider, as part of ordinary website operation — the same way any website’s hosting works.

Brokerage data handling

HomeSmart Connect LLC, as Joanna’s brokerage, may have its own data-handling obligations (for example, under MLS rules or brokerage policy) that sit alongside this site’s own practices described above. Rather than restate those here, they’re addressed in a separate Brokerage Disclaimer, published once HomeSmart Connect supplies its required wording.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page whenever what the site actually does changes — for example, when Google Analytics is switched on, or if a new feature starts collecting different information. The “Last reviewed” date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent real change.
